Vibration noise

Im having a mom and pop place put it in. (actually just closed :( but working out of the house now)

They needed it right away because i've been stuck with no car and im too young to rent a car..

I was assured ford racing was top quality and have to agree because after all it is ford racing. Ordered over night.

I'm not happy with $ though.

Yes, Ford Racing is top quality, but limited slips are not rocket science. I have yet to hear of any company put out a poor unit.

So, i got the car back today.

Ran it quite a while, the highway RPMs are tolerable (under 3k at 80mph) and the car really does feel a lot more "sporty" with the new gears.

I never really understood how traction lok affects the car, but it does just what its name says (locks in traction) haha. Although its still a death trap on those wheels (1-2 shift broke loose enough to send the speedo to 60), the car is much safer to drive in the rain.

Im overall pleased.

Without changing the speedo gears, am i seeing higher or lower than actual MPH on the speedo? Is it significant?

The car thinks it's running faster. The ratio would be the same as the new gear divided by the old gear.

3.73/3.08 = 1.21

21% is significant.

At an actual 60 mph you would 'see' 72 mph.

EDIT: You have an LSC? They have 3.27 stock ratio, so...

3.73/3.27 = 1.14

14% is still significant.

At an actual 60 mph you would 'see' 68 mph.
