    RIP Doug Fraleigh

Donna - My condolences to you and your family. This is so sad to hear, and Doug will be missed by me personally and these Mark VIII message boards. I met Doug (and you) a couple of times while he worked on my rusty 98 Mark VIII in his awesome garage. I also raced with him at Englishtown...

    OBDII upgrade ?

"You can't just toss in the same agressive calibrations from a Gen 1 into a Gen 2 either. Totally different calibrations." - So the Gen II ODB II is more programable, but not programable enough to get to Gen I stock levels? I'm going to start with a cat-back exhaust on my Gen II LSC 1st. Most...

    OBDII upgrade ?

........As far as I know there are no Gen II's with just a tune running 14.6? The goal with my 98 car was to try and make it as fast as my 1993, which got down to 14.3.......without doing a gear swap. I'm thinking exhaust, a tune and MAF. But is that enough on a Gen II? A cobra intake swap...

    OBDII upgrade ?

This is the part I've never really gotten about this topic. So I can't program the computer on my 1998 LSC with the "more programable ODB II" to the levels of the aggressive factory tuning on my OBD I computer on my 1993?? Maybe if I put the intake and the ODB I computer from my 1993 on my...

    OBDII upgrade ?

Dumb Question........if the ODBII is so much better than the ODBI, how come my 1998 LSC can't be tuned to run faster than my 1993 Mark VIII? My 1993 ran 14.6 stock and 14.3 with just an exhaust.......and no tune or chip. As far as I know there are no Gen II's running these kind of times stock...

My 1993 Lincoln Mark VIII has passed :(

Dave - They did put some kind of insert in. The shop offered to pull the valve cover to investigate more, I just didn't think it was worth it. I was at the shop when he put the new plug in, put the plug wire on, and then held the plug wire in with a stick (so it wouldn't shoot out) and it was...

My 1993 Lincoln Mark VIII has passed :(

Max - Why would you give up the Vette?! I love mine. I waited my whole life, since about 5-years old, to have one. :) The car is an absolute blast to drive. One of the reasons I kept the Mark VIII for so long was so that I could afford the Vette....without crazy loans or anything. I can't...

My 1993 Lincoln Mark VIII has passed :(

Tommy - My goal has always been to keep my car in at least in the same ball park as yours......mileage wise. Sadly that time is over. The rest of the car isn't in good enough shape to replace the drive train. I'm pretty sure winters in NJ, living by the ocean and not haveing a garage are big...

My 1993 Lincoln Mark VIII has passed :(

The Lincoln Mark VIII has passed. She made it to 250,069 miles. The official cause is a cracked head. She rolled over the one quarter of a million miles on Christmas day 2007. My wife and I memorialized the occasion by taking some pictures of the odometer at the magical 250k mark. One December...

auxilary or driving lights behind grill-gen1

The Hella 550's are HUGE. 7.69" x 4.75". I'll take a look, but they'll probably be too big to fit behing the grill. I'll look at other smaller Hella models to see if they'd fit. Or I'll just get some 9" round lamps and mount them on the outside of the grill :) Ken
