    blend door actuator Revisited

Hi Mad1stGen. What worried me was the fact that with the metal rod missing and the black arm and actuator held in place where it should be, it didn't feel right. I made sure the plastic backplate was trimmed down like you did so it was able to go to its full travel. What worried me was the...

    blend door actuator Revisited

Right, here is a wiring diagram for the EATC and blend door actuator. Its pretty evident that the black arm swings way too far one way and the other. So we need to convince the EATC module to stop the arm earlier. In the wiring diagram above there is a potential divider circuit at pins 4, 3...

    blend door actuator Revisited

Just done my blend door following the really good instructions here...... Usual broken part But, notice this........ I had to drop the steering wheel because the dash wouldn't pull out even after all the fasteners were removed. After checking and double checking I finally figured out...

    Scope waveforms

Had a PO340 code today! Camshaft position sensor circuit failure. Cleared the code and unplugged the sensor and plugged it back in. Not reoccured and drives well. Decided to scope it to have a look at the signal. Blue line is the signal line and the just visible red line is the signal ground...

    Scope waveforms

yeah, sorry - I meant the 1v line! You could be right. I'll scope the sensor ground and supply later just to be sure. Andy.

    Scope waveforms

Thats roughly what I paid over here. Very good though. Whether its $1000+ worth, time will tell;) Setting up the pico for a TPS voltage check. So, here's the voltage at the signal wire to the PCM from the TPS. I made 2 full throttle openings from under the hood by hand (which is why the...

    Scope waveforms

No. Here we have a waveform at the battery with engine at idle Heres the voltage waveform at the IAC (idle air control valve) with engine at idle and no electrical load Here it is with AC and lights on Since this is a pull down circuit, the low bit on the steeped waveform is the on time...

    Scope waveforms

Hi Guys. I would like to start a thread of good mark 8 scope waveforms. They are a superb, unbeatable diagnostic tool as long as you can find somebody to do it!! If anyone and everyone could add to these it would be good. Anyway, heres a waveform of one of my primary ignition coils The next...

    97 headlight fogging up

Got fed up of pass headlight fogging up and producing condensation, and couldn't find the leak, so I smoke tested it. Heres a link to youtube of the smoke pouring out of the join where the lens is glued. Amazed the hell out of me! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YgmMqWsYuc&feature=youtu.be...
