my 95 tc has developed a shifting malfunction ....... first it wasnt reaching all the way to park , then it got so bad , it wont go into drive at all...... ive had little luck looking for parts listed in parts houses , and havent yet raised it up to look underneath (im a lame old fat guy)...

ive got a 95 town car. ive got a 93 ..... engines are pretty much the same , but trannies , chasis and bodies are completely different (while looking basically the same) are the engines interchangeable? will they bolt up (im sure ill have to change a lot of the wiring and sensors)... would...

so today , i performed some exploratory on the 93. found the rattle ....... heat shield on one of the resonators.... the starter issue was an obvious cure........we got a new starter , but we never did get around to tightening the bolts....oops .......that wont be an issue again. lookie...

so the only real difference is the pipes and the tranny. the article was worded misleadingly. my parts car has sweet pipes on it , they will eventually end up under the 93... nothing wrong with what its got for now. although it may have an aode tranny , or it may have a 4r70w .... seems both...

compression test? how does one even accomplish a compression test with those buried spark plugs. must need some kind of funky custom rig

i've noticed on my 95 that the blower 'has to think about it', and generally will only kick on after going from high to off and back a few times , then it will run at any setting
