''1990
In 1990 Motor Trend named the Lincoln Town Car its "Car of the Year". The 1990 Lincoln Town Car went through a major exterior redesign and ganed rear air suspension as standard equipment. The Town Car was available in three variations: Executive Series, Signature Series, and the plush, Cartier, each increasing in order of cost and trim level. This model Town car also saw the introduction of Ford's new Modular V8, a DOHC design which replaced the legendary Ford 351 Windsor engine throughout the company's lineup. This original engine offerred a mere 150 HP, but was increased to 210 HP in the 1994 model year.

ok , my 93 only has one exhaust pipe , and some minor vacuum and wiring changes from the 95s.

according to this , there is 60hp difference between the two otherwise identical 4.6s

what changed ... a tailpipe and a few wires couldn't account for that....

the heavier 93 is certainly not any slower than the newer car (but it does seem worse on gas)

1990 the 5.0 low output carried over from the older body style with 150hp. In 1991 the 4.6 became available with 190 hp single tailpipe or 210 dual exhaust.

so the only real difference is the pipes and the tranny. the article was worded misleadingly.

my parts car has sweet pipes on it , they will eventually end up under the 93... nothing wrong with what its got for now.

although it may have an aode tranny , or it may have a 4r70w .... seems both look the same from the bottom . but bolt up differently

There is a lot wrong with that article.

1995 was the first year for the 4r70w in the Town Car.
