I had the console out to change the cup holder and ashtray combo and the lighter was pretty loose. So decided to investigate. And was just not worth putting back just to pull it again.
Just wanted to know if removing it and the ground would cause any issues...When I finda new assembly I'll reinstall it,as I've become an expert on removing the console.
Excellent...Yeah I know what you mean...I forgot to plug that stupid wire in the first time myself. But as long as it won't affect anything I'll just leave it out until I can locate the original part. Thanks for the assist.
My lighter gave up the ghost....Just want to delete it if I can't find the OEM part. As the aftermarket units are incorrect. The question is what about the ground strap for the radio surround,that wire just goes to the lighter. Will I be ok without that ground? As always, Thanks in advance.

I was thinking along that line also....But wouldn't you need temp modulation for defogging reasons. I know.....Just open the window and shut the hell up. Lol
When I ran the test I watched and had my fingers on the gray arm...It didn't move more tgan a 1/4 inch....I'm going to assume it should move mlre than that.
You've read me right Drillman.... stays constant cool till 90.then its the tropics. Sounds like I've got a new issue..Maybe I'll have a sticky named after me. :-)

First of all,thanks so much for the help. I've put 24oz in an ac has gotten colder and compressor is running well. But as I stated in the OP the temp still stays constant throygh the band from 60 till 85....Then I hit 90 and whammo...Full on heat. From all I've read,this...
