    FS: 95 mark viii black/black

I would like to keep it, but it's just sitting there, i'll never get around to it. Actually forgot I posted this. I should probably just part it out then scrap what's left. I'd hate to just scrap the whole car.

    FS: 95 mark viii black/black

Selling my 95, been sitting a few years, doesn't run, valve spring broke, valve dropped into cylinder. I wanted to fix it, probably never will. As much as I truly miss this car, i just haven't had the time or money. Located in Massachusetts.

    Found the culprit

My advice, If you start to hear a strange tapping noise, get it checked out immediately. Also when the people in this forum tell you not to drive it, listen to them!

    dumb question (or maybe not)

I broke it today. I jumped it using my camry. Would not shift out of park. Crawled under the car, disconnected the cable and I could move the lever by hand. Put the cable back on and tried to shift it again, and SNAP! Something broke. Now I turn the key and the shifter moves out of park, but...

    Found the culprit

Well, I found out where the culprit was....valve spring busted a while back, people told me not to drive it, i didn't listen, learned a lseeon the hard way. I pulled the plug out on the driver's side. Its all beat up from the valve falling down into the cylinder. Couldn't really see down into...

    dumb question (or maybe not)

Hi. My 95 Mark Viii has been sitting for 2 years. I am just now getting around to starting to fix it. The battery is DEAD. I got in it to put it in neutral to push it. The shifter would not move from park. I can't remember, is the a shift lock solenoid on this car? Otherwise, something may have...

    Just thinking...or overthinking.

Motor mounts, good idea. The oil pan on my car was replaced recently, and should be in good shape, that one will go on the replacement motor. Rack was replaced recently too. The power steering line is looking a little crusty, especially for it's age, so that will get replaced. Another question...

    Just thinking...or overthinking.

What else should I do while I have the engine out? I will check out all the hard to reach stuff, IAC, oil filter adapter gasket, oil pan. Is that oil pan gasket reuseable? The one on there is about 2 years old, and cost me about $30. Should I ditch the EGR? I miss that car badly!

    Is it my imagination, or...

I didn't see any Mark VIIIs turned in during the cash for clunkers program at the dealer I work for. Seemed to be mostly crown vics.

    Is it my imagination, or...

Can't wait to get mine back either. Hopefully I get a good tax refund, so I can start gathering parts. There seems to be some good deals on engines at the local salvage yards.
