I just read in another thread that the filter sometimes falls off, allowing it to suck air around corners. This sounds like another possibility. :)

The fluid is pretty red, but I don't know when or if the previous owner ever had it changed. I'm going to take it in to have it flushed next week. Hopefully that'll clear it up. I don't think it's got mercon in it so I'm gonna have them drain the converter too and re-fill it with mercon v.

It checks full both hot and cold. How do you check it hot? Maybe I'm doing it wrong. My dodge ram checked full for 2 years even though it was leaking in three spots and then randomly one day I checked it and wasn't touching the dipstick and was 2 quarts low. :confused:

I'm guessing it's either low on fluid or the fluid needs changed, but when I take a hard right, the tranny feels like it goes back to 1st gear and then you start accelerating and it runs up to about 4500 rpms and then shifts a few seconds later. Are there any special tool that I might want to grab? I'm thinking about tackling this, this weekend. Do I need a spring compressor of will the wheel hang down far enough to take the tension off the spring?

If I understand this correctly, I need to buy control arms for a t-bird since my mark has been converted to coil suspension? Are they hard to change? I really don't want to pay for labor too if I can change them myself. :D

Dead on. Mine has the same "something is gonna fall off" sound coming from the right rear and it is definitely the rear shock bushings/mounts. :D
