hello guys i really ran into a wall with this car and would like to get a second opinion about this issue.

it keeps giving me the CEL code of "misfire #8" I've checked the coil and spark plug by removing them and putting them in the #5 piston and the code persist misfire #8.
There is no oil on the plugs so valve cover gaskets are fine.
Wen I first saw this code I was sure it was going to be a bad coil but now I don't know.
The misfire occurs wen its at idle speeds around 600 rpms.
I've also replaced the cam sensor sense it was one of the original codes.

Tomorrow I will test the compression and the injector should be coming in.
What's the compression on this motor?

Sounds like an injector. It could also be an intake leak also... I would do the compression test first, and also try a leakdown. Make sure you go WOT on the compression test.

Anything above 140-150 is sufficient. Make sure you swap the coil, boot, AND plug to the different cylinders. You can also swap injectors very easily without replacing parts. I've never had a bad injector throw a check engine code FYI.

Question: Is this a dead miss (ALWAYS misses) or is it intermittent like mine? If its a dead miss it could also be a bad wire, a chipped crank shaft pickup or something more "mechanical" vs electrical.

The CEL light flashes wen the misfire is happening.
It only does the misfire wen the rpm's come under 1,000

Well compression is good, coil is good, and I put a new injector after still seeing the same results. I checked the injector connector with a noidlight I noticed that the injector 8 had no power pedioticly. So now I'm thinking maybe a bad computer.
Does any body have the wiring diagram for the injectors for this 04 aviator?
I can't find it on my "on demand".

Have you checked on Auto Zone's web site for your wiring schematic? They have lots of help with on-line manuals. You have to join the site, but it's free .

I found the diagram on my on demand. I wasn't looking on the right spot. Next is check the wiring for the injector #8 to see if it's a faulty wire or computer.
