10 disc cd player

Can a 10 disc cd player from a 1996 mark viii fit into a 1997 mark viii that did not come with a cd player from the factory ?. If so, do i need to rewire the 1997 or will it already have the wiring from the factory ?

I've had a few cars without 10 player cd, and there wasn't any wires. I have 2 cars with the 10 disc players, and they work every now and then. Never found anybody that can fix them. Your better off with a single player. The laser works, but the mechanics of the unit malfunction. Not a good place to put it, right above a hot muffler, way back in the bouncy trunk. When they work, the sound is great

My 97 has the dealer installed changer, the wiring is added in, and the changer is on the passenger side and is vertical instead of horizontal. It won't have the wiring in place.

Thanks for the information. It helped me decide to just sell the CD player/changer out of the '96 and buy an after market changer

You can have the broken Sony 10 disc out of my '98 if you want. (for parts or whatever) I found a virgin non 10 disc carpet on eBay and took mine out of my car. :laugh:
