I would have gotten one new but i couldn't afford one between the ages of 7-13. No drivers license was my dads reasoning.....

Good job taking care of the Mark VIII for so many years. It still looks like new.

I wish I could have taken that much care of my red one for the 8.5 years I've owned it, but it was my only daily driver (and winter driver) most of the time. Plus, mine already had 95K miles on it when I bought it.:D

Thanks. Although that picture is about 3 years old, the Mark still looks just as good now as it's not my daily driver any more. I only put around 3 or 4 K on it a year now.

Yes, I bought it new after they were discontinued. Lincoln was giving great deals, my Super Coupe was 8 years old with 115 K on it, the market looked bleak as far as V8 powered RWD full size coupes were concerned, so I figured I better do something quickly or I'd have to settle for something I had no passion for if I didn't act.

I've never regretted that decision.

Congrats on the birthdays, everyone!

Our "oldest" puppy was born on July 31, 2005. July is a good month :)

Certainly a joy retaining ownership of a car you purchased new years ago. I bet its in similarly great condition today. Heres to more years to come...
