2013 Reservations

So as per usual, I made my reservations as I checked out, and didn't even bother to check prices.

The Friday and Sat night don't surprise me at $166, but the $155 for Thursday and Sunday???? Anyway, if we're going to banquet or something with them next year, can we please negotiate at a better room rate, cause really, that rate is crazy.

We have a block of rooms reserved again, but I think the price difference is only about $10 less.

Anyway, everyone should get rooms now, and register under the Lincolns of Distinction...

Better to have a room waiting for you, and if it turns out that you can't make it next year, you only have to cancel your reservation 24 in advance...

I think they did, when I called this morning. Who knows. Now I'm thinking why not just upgrade to a jacuzzi suite and rub Mrs. Drillers' nose in my pillar (figuratively speaking of course). :wink:

I just checked my reservation, I'm at $156 for Fri & Sat. but $151 for Thurs. I called and complained that going from $109 (this yr.) to $151 is outrageous. I'm waiting for a call back from the GM.

They just called. Basically she said too bad if we don't like it go somewhere else. She also said there is no price break for the LOD.

I sent an email to Rick Markko telling him about this. After all, a 50% rate hike for Thurs. will keep people away which will affect his business. Carlisle Events does a lot of business with that hotel, hopefully he has some pull.

I'll keep you posted if I hear anything.

They did say the same thing to me about no LOD discount (over the phone). I may have a surcharge b/c of the oxygen but that makes no sense and seems discriminatory.

just take a moment and imagine whats gone down at all the places that we've been uninvited back too over the years

Rick emailed me back and is none too happy. They give that hotel a lot of business so he is passing the info on up the ladder. Let's see if anything comes of it.
