I will be going to Power Tour this year for the first three stops. Would love to see you guys again.

Here are the dates/stops


June 6 – Alliant Energy Center, Madison, Wisconsin
June 7 – Parkland College, Champaign, Illinois
June 8 – Gateway Motorsports Park, Madison, Illinois (St. Louis)
June 9 – Memphis International Raceway, Memphis, Tennessee
June 10 – Hoover Metropolitan Stadium, Hoover / Birmingham, Alabama
June 11 - Centennial Plaza, Gulfport, MS
June 12 – Lamar Dixon Expo Center, Baton Rouge, Louisiana
June 13 – Lamar Dixon Expo Center – not open to the general public. The venue will only open for the Hot Rod Power Tour Long Hauler ceremony.

I had plans to join up with the tour following Carlisle but unfortunately the plans changed due to work. :(

I'm still holding the hotel reservations hoping the schedule will change but I'm not holding my breath.

Well as long as I get my car together this week, I still plan on going. For those of you who will also be going, I would like to meet up at some point.

I will start in Minneapolis early Sunday morning, try to be to Madison by 0800, and stick with the HRPT till the end of STL, then head back home fallowing the Mississippi.

Have fun! If your route takes you back near us and you want a rest stop, please stop by. I don't think you've been here before, let me know if you want more info/phone etc. House is a disaster, and no extra bedroom since the kid is still here.

Sharon, I think your place might be a bit out of the way this time around but maybe I can talk Mike into doing a "quick trip" over to your place this summer. Bring a liitle mark viii meet to your neck of the woods. I also want to drive my car allot right now! :D

I understand, not sure what your route will be, or how much in a hurry. I miss the gatherings here. I just don't have energy to set up stuff like the Montrose Harbor anymore. But friends are always welcome and our new neighbor across the street is impressed with our car collection ;).

The Tour actually comes close to our house on June 7 if you are going to the lunch stop at Heidt's. Heidts is 20-30minutes from us. You get about about 15minutes from us when you are going south on rt 59 if you follow their directions. We could meet up at Heidts or you could take a short detour to our house. I may actually go to Heidts regardless. A ton of cars showed up last year. Although there was this ridiculous line for the most crappy free hot dog. Trust me, you can do better around here.

Today went well, got to stop and say hi to Mike for a little bit in Chicago land. Off to St Louis tomorrow, after we're done playing with tornadoes of course.20150607_104441.jpg

Sorry I couldn't make it, I was beyond exhausted from helping next door with a garage sale the three prior days and slept from 11:30 to about 2 or 2:30 solid. :(

Started the day with rain, then got to drive on route 66, watched some drag racing, burn out contest, walking around the car show again the got to wrap it up with a nice view. Wish I could stay with tour but gotta head home in the morning. Someday.

Looks like a great year, Eric. Thanks for all the updates, and I wish you a safe and trouble free trip home.

Also. I have 52 presents for you.. :D We should probably find a time to get together soon and exchange them.
