2016 Carlisle WHO'S COMING?

Steve is right on! We all look forward to this event every year, from the fun people to the infamous Tossing-O-The-Cake this is one hell of a fun time.

There are many people who don't pre-register and do so only when they arrive. If you're one of these please consider this... while Carlisle Events uses pre-registrations and total registrations to determine classes the pre-registrations are weighted as much as 90% when determining classes. We used to have 5 Mark VIII classes in addition to the non Mark VIII classes. We are now down to ONE Mark VIII class, ONE! We have been told that if we could get 20 pre-registrations they would consider giving us two classes (Stock and Modified). We're getting close and you need to pre-register to help us persuade Carlisle Events to split the class.

Pre-register NOW!

The preregistration also determines where you are located and the amount of spaces you are given.

Stop the guilt please. Steve was right, for some of us it is a huge burden, financial and time-wise. Those of you who live close could always "pre-register" non-existent cars... I've registered plenty of cars in the past, scheduled a major surgery to assure I'd be able to attend, and all that, but time and funds and my disability make the trek extremely difficult, if not impossible now. It doesn't mean I don't want to be there, I do... but Carlisle, especially for those of us who live a long ways away, is an expensive trip and long trip. Not to mention all the work any of the cars would take to make that trek. (Although I must say I'd love to have my car in the burnout contest so I can force Hubby to get me decent damn tires instead of his old crap ones).

See pic below -- one of the earlier Carlisle's. I've been going on and off since 2001. Perhaps another venue can be found which isn't so east-coast centric and has cheaper options for hotels and food?

That's great and all. And I appreciate you not pushing the "double rainbow" thing all that hard.

So.. Can I add you to this list now? or what? :D

You can add me because you know I'll be there... but I'm yet to officially register... :love-it:
(plus it looks like it may just be the Z this year)

You mean the "Modified Mark VIII," that looks suspiciously like a Z, right?

This thread is depressing... :frown-blue:

You guys can all count on me to preregister my car during the holiday sale this December for Carlisle 2017. Unfortunately being part of many clubs and owning many different Fords it's only fair for me to split years up among them. Since I've owned my Mark I brought it in 2011,2012,2013 (preregistered in Dec every year too) then the SC is 2014 and again in 2015 for the Thunderbird 60th. I'm bringing one my Tauruses this year since I'm the only one celebrating 30 years of Taurus... Looks like it won't be sold in the US after this year. :frown:

Also, I'd like to thank JP and everyone else that keeps this club together and plans the events. I know how hard it is and I have much appreciation for your work! I run the NJ chapter of the SCCoA with a friend and it's incredible how hard it can be to get people to commit to an event; and we're nowhere near the level of the LOD. Keep up the great work guys! The poor turnout is not a reflection of the quality of your work.
