check the abs codes.
wheel speed sensor maybe, but my problem was a bad pump.
the abs system checks the pumps ability to make pressure when you hit 20 mph. if it fails, the light comes on.

You're lucky, since your car is a 93 and has OBD1, you can easily pull the ABS codes yourself with a piece of wire.

The Anti lock test connector is located inside the headlight access door on the passenger side. It's in a red plastic holder. Push it out of the holder and hold it facing you with 2 terminals on top, and 4 on the bottom. They would be numbered 1, 2, then 3,4,5,6 on the bottom. Take a wire and jump 4 and 5 together, then turn the iginition key to the on position and count the blinks of the ABS light for the codes.:)

You're welcome JP, these cars do have a lot of self diagnostics, the engine, seat, alarm, air ride, hvac,...:D

Were you able to get any codes 93luxurysnake?

There's some posts here about repacing these parts. The hard thing is finding good used parts though.:(

I need to just buy one and get it over with, getting sick of running to the parts store to use theirs.

well it turns out that my abs issue was all due to one of the shims on the front brake pads had come loose an was rubbing the rotor an was tripping the system! i removed it an put some silicone on the back of the pads to absorb vibration an now i have no issues what so ever from my abs  has anyone else ever heard of this happening?

I haven't heard of this. How was it rubbing the rotor? Was it interfering with the sensor?

Did you ever read the codes?

it was on the outboard pad it slid off from under the caliper an was rubbing the rotor hat where the wheel meets an i guess it was tripping the sensor
