Just a feeler, seeing if anyone would be interested in my Lincoln.
It's a 97 lsc with 49k. I've done numerous things to it. Just a few to mention include all new front end - tie rods, control arms, strut bars, stabilizer links. Continental door handles, retro fit hid, new rear neon ballast, asham8 mod. I have numerous miscellaneous parts to go with it. It does need left rear bag and a wiper motor which I may get to before it sells depending on how fast it sells. Blend door will need done in near future, it has stuck on me once or twice. It does have cold a/c and heat. Tires have tons of tread but are cheap Walmart tires. Grey interior in decent shape, carpet has coffee stain amd headliner is shot.
I am in no hurry to sell and will not even respond to lowball offers. I've only driven it a few hundred miles in the past year and am getting ready to start a food truck so I could use the extra cash if there's someone interested in it. The only trade I would entertain is a 16' box truck. Depending what you have I'd have cash to throw in also. Located in Raleigh, NC message me to discuss. I have more pics in my thread and would be happy to text more.

Thanks, Steve

why not just ask, what do you guys think my car is worth? I don't understand these "feeler" for sale threads.

Because I know what it is worth, I'm not at the point to full blown put it for sale to the general public. If I was I would describe the car differently geared towards a sales pitch and post it on multiple sites ie ebay, craigslist and other appropriate sales sites. Figured I'd offer it up here and see if anyone would be interested, since there is more of a fan base here. Hence feeling it out if anyone is interested before I start posting it elsewhere

What ANY car is "worth" and the amount a person would sell that same car for is way different. What is the lowest price you would let it go for?

steve

With "LOD" Since 1997
If it drives much better then it looks, with the issues you listed you can get around $2,000

Which is exactly why I said make offers because it might be worth more to one person than others. I can say I'd never think about anything near 2k. It has 2 issues the cost about $172 to fix. That will not drop the price that much.

49K miles. Replaced the whole front end, at 49K ? Needs, rear air bag, wiper motor, blend door, headliner, and total paint job, that you can get for a case of beer. Sounds like the speedo was changed, or it was used off road. Ad should read "DREAMING about selling my car. If mileage is true, sounds like that car was used and abused. Wheels look nice!

The car sat outside in North Carolina for over a decade... what do you think is going to happen? A lot of tire kickers here

If you have no interest in buying the car do yourself a favor and stay off the thread... you obviously have no idea what you are talking about in the first place. 1 the speedo wasn't changed, have documentation. 2 it wasn't used for off road, it sat in extreme heat and dry rotted. 3 even a idiot like you could probably change the headliner and air bag.
So instead of sitting behind a computer knocking other peoples threads, being a miserable human being with no desire to purchase the car and just bash what other people have. Go outside get some fresh air, obviously have to much time to look at ads that you have no intention to do any good with, and do something else with yourself

The condition of the paint ruins any value it might've had as a 49k mark viii. I can't really tell by the few pictures you listed but if it can't be fixed with some major paint correction then the value drops significantly. Add in the bda and air ride issue and you have a car that'll only appeal to people that like m8's and can do the labor intensive things it needs.

If it was mine the first thing I'd do if see if the paint can be fixed. If it can then go ahead and spend another few hundred on the bda, rear bag, headliner and wiper motor. Somebody will pay a decent amount if those problems are taken care of.

That said, I'd much rather buy a 150k m8 for $2k that's been taken care of vs a low mile m8 for $6k that hasn't been.

I'm confused about something: the car has only 49K miles but all those parts needed replacement? Headliner is shot? Paint is in bad shape? What happened to this vehicle? Sounds like flood damage to me.

Here, let me help you a little bit. My car was valued at $5600 by the insurance company with 85K miles looking like this. Zero rust, mint headlights, working everything, glossy paint, 95% mint interior. Unfortunately if you think that yours is worth anywhere near what mine is, you're out of your mind. These cars have to be MINT to fetch over 5 grand with the mileage you have. Sorry not sorry. That's a fact. These cars do not hold value any more. They are a dime a dozen. If you wanna play stubborn, you'll sit on that car forever. Watch....
