I'm considering selling my 98 Mark VIII Collector's Edition. At this point I am offering it to LOD members who would appreciate this type of car and would consider offers. The car is the last car listed on the LOD "Rides" page as the "98 modified Collector's Edition Mark VIII with Cobra engine in Cordovan". It presently has 57K miles and is in excellent condition. The motor is a stock 2004 Terminator out of a Mustang SVT. The only modifications to it are a 3" pulley and some machine work on the supercharger inlet housing to change it's angle for use in the Mark VIII. It produces a conservative 408HP and 430ft# of torque at the wheels. The transmission got a complete rebuild with mods for the application about 3000 miles back and it has a cooler. The rear end is a 3:73 Auburn. A 4" DynoTech driveshaft has been installed. The intercooler is a customized Mustang SVT and custom circuitry runs the motor. New Goodyear Eagle GT's were installed last summer. It is the ultimate sleeper! I can't tell you how many Camaros, Mustangs and Challengers I have embarrassed. They pull up beside me and ask "what the hell do you have in that thing?". There are lots of other mods I have added but too much to list. Respond ONLY if you are interested. This car is a show winner. Before making an offer consider that an un-modified 98CE in the condition of this car recently sold for $12K. Thanks for looking and please spread the word.

Please look at the RIDES page- photos are current

Price and pictures?
The pictures on the "Rides" page are exactly what it looks like. The car is kept in a garage and only driven occasionally- only in good weather. All paint is original except for the rear bumper. Interior is near perfect. I would have to get 15K for it or I won't let it go. I have about that much in mods alone. Maybe that seems too much but remember that this is a near perfect CE and has a near bulletproof engine and drivetrain. The SVT motor has about 34K miles on it. If you are serious about it I have tons of other photos. You can go to YouTube and search my name: "Tom Saugey" to see a video of the car on the Hot Rod Power Tour. I was running Michelin street tires at the time and couldn't get enough traction for a good 1/4 mile ET but that's not what I built the car for anyway. It's a quiet cruiser until you step on the gas.

I'm not offended. That's what I expected some to say. I have one car too many (have to leave the new GT out in the weather) but I guess it won't be the Mark VIII that goes. Maybe I'll rent a storage garage. Thanks for commenting.

Tom, I didn't mean to offend you. I thought that price was a steal. Good luck with whatever you decide.
