A Lincoln and a De Soto

I was camping again last weekend, some of you may have seen my camping photos before.:D

My friend De Soto Joe brought his 56 De Soto Firedome (he has many De Soto's).

I saw he was leaving, I had to get a photo of him driving it. I barely had enough time for the digital camera to boot up, but this is the shot I got.:)

I took some better photos of the De Soto, I'll post some here if anyone's interested.:smile-purple:

That's all I need Norm, here's some more of the 56, I'll dig up some of the 57 and 55 too.:)

This one has the Firedome Hemi engine, check out the valve covers. The ignition wires are covered in the center with the labeled channel, and exit at the back of the engine.:cool-blue:

Thanks for updated photo's. I love the 50's era cars. Some of these cars were ahead of their time in styling and luxury.

One of the nice things about those cars was they COULD actually tow camping trailers! I had a '66 Dodge Coronet with a 383 and torqueshift auto that I towed a 1970 18' Prowler across the US a few times! I really liked that DeSota in the mid-'50's! Thanks for the flashback, Bill!
