air suspension Drama

My 98 (daily) has always been a drama queen with the air suspension only acting up when I'm in a hurry to get somewhere. after originally thinking I needed new front bags I inspected them to find that they where new(ish). the rears also look good, after some trouble shooting I have narrowed it down to the vent solenoid. which seems to be sticking and is currently stuck open.

now here's my question, my other 3 marks are all on springs yet still have compressors in place, is there a chance any of them have good solenoids? is their any way to test them without installing them onto daily? should I just say F it and buy a new compressor?

You can bypass the factory vent solenoid by using the Spyder Valve from American Air Suspension?

I was looking at that, but the only one they have listed is $275 and the rebuilt compressor with factory vent is only $135 so I'm leaning away from it. I'm still thinking also about just drilling the bags and installing custom valves and a tank and compressor....first attempts at fixing will start this weekend

so I removed the compressor from my other 98 and it's vent looked in good shape so I clean and lubricated it and installed in the daily. seems to be working fine so far. also learned that the 2 little comeputers on the compressors brackets must be reinstalled for the A/C to work.
