Another drone video

I often "crew" for a co-worker who owns a hot air balloon. The last time I helped out with a launch, someone else was there with a drone taking video. You really get a good feel for the place, and the process. I was working with the Yellow balloon.

The location is a "farm restaurant" Called "Vino in the Valley" tucked into the woods in rural western Wisconsin. It's a very pretty place. After the flight, we all come back for beers, and wood fired brick oven pizzas. It's quite the experience.

Yup. The first time I helped out, he invited me to fly along. An incredible experience. You don't feel "lift" so much as the ground just falls away. Everyone needs to try it.

That is so cool!

Is the person controlling the drone, in the balloon basket?
Nope. It was someone else on the ground, who just happened to be there. Good timing, all around.

The folks who run that restaurant love it when my friend shows up with the balloon. It attracts a lot of attention, and provides a nice distraction for all the folks waiting for tables. They have tractor rides too, which I think you can see in one of the shots. It's like stepping into a story book.

I think that you scored on a couple of points. Obviously the Balloon ride gives you a tremedous new look at your surroundings and a set of unique sensations being in the air, The other is the magic that videos filmed with drones give us a completely new way to preserve and observe events and places for our memories. Great job to the fellows.
