So I was let go from work this week, rather dubiously if I'm honest, but all in all it frees me to finally relocate to west MI where I was planning to get to as soon as I could anyways. I am still awaiting a decision on one application where I interviewed in person last month, and there are a couple other openings I am about to jump on. My living situation has been in question the past several weeks, but this made my decision for me. I have a place to stay already, and no more long term dating (after 8 months so far)!! :D

I filed for my MA unemployment, which may take a while to come to fruition, but my overhead is already rather low, and I don't doubt I will get it. We are expecting some rain here on Saturday so if it looks nasty I will hit the road Friday. If it looks to be easy to get through, I will leave first thing Saturday. Last time I made it in just under 15 hours from Grand Rapids to the cape across I-80 including a half hour backup in SW CT so I hope to time it just right so I can do the same heading west. What I find funny is that it takes 2 hands to count the people I know who have moved from Michigan to Cape Cod & the islands. I am the first I know of to move in the opposite direction. There is probably a reason for that. ;)

I go to Grand Rapids frequently, however very rarely in my Gen2! Maybe after you get there and get settled we can say 'hey'! It's 2 hours from my house and we take the 05 Freestar Limited about 99% of the time.

I'll be up in Grand Haven/Ferrysburg to start with at the very least. I'll see if I can stay in that area when I get back on my feet, hopefully in downtown Grand Haven near the water. Let me know when you decide to come out in some class instead of a minivan, and THEN we will see about meeting up. ;)

Months? Rob (where are you??) told me about the 97 LSC on August 4 2009 and on August 13 it was already mine and in the driveway!

Yup. They're not as plentiful here as they are there. Any I looked into were already gone or too suspect. If we are to split hairs, I think my search thread extends back into 2009... :D

+1000 Internet points for Bill spelling my name right (and not calling me zack)!

When and where? I will have to be careful to make sure my funds last me while I'm out of work... Last time I was looking at threads about a meet, it was like 10 months of trying to get a place and time, kind of like when I was watching a previous club squabble about plans spanning 4 states. ;)

I actually had to check your profile to make sure I spelled your name right.:D

Since you're moving to Michigan, I should tell you one of the rules: you have to read the Midwest Chapter forum every day.:)

Your efforts are appreciated! I will do my best, but to my defense...I technically still have an AZ car. ;)

Oh and speaking of which, before I go and get windows tinted, what are the state laws regarding the tinting of the front windows, anyways? I did a google search but found vague answers...

Also keep in mind, the car flying up behind you with RED flashing lights...

Don't bother with any tint (unless it's back and 1/4 glass only) or these very guys will be pulling you over in no time.

Sorry to see you leave the great state of Massachusetts sir. Cape Cod will miss you. You will always have a place to stay if you decide to visit the Vinyahd!
