Anybody ever heard of this? Engine 'decarbonizer'

I don't see why it would not work. I know some dealers arround here do offer some type of engine cleaning option. I asked one time and was told the car is hoooked up to a special machine. Maybe this is what they do. I hope this does more than a can of seafoam since it takes an hour.

I love that show! Edd does a lot of hard work as a mechanic, but it doesn't seem he figures in his time into the budget.

I never heard of a decarbonizer.

I saw something similar a few years ago on dream car garage, i think the demoed it on a crown vic with around 100k miles, they did a before and after dynoed as well and there was a HP improvement, and the speculated there should be an MPG improvement as well.

I'd like to see them change the spark plugs first. Measure the difference, then do the treatment, and measure the difference again.

I've seen how well seafoam (a "decarbonator"?) can clean plugs (in an old MG).:D
