Get a trans from a 2001 or so mach 1 from a salvage yard or someone parting out a car and repin the harness, its probably the cheapest way to go.

Have you tried Shrewsbury Transmission? I used to tow cars in Worcester to them and they have a pretty good reputation in the Worcester area. They are on Route 20 between Xmas tree shop and Hebert's Candy Mansion.

Nice! I'm looking forward to hearing both your impressions, and their explanation of the failure.

Had burnt clutches, bad pump, torque converter..They replaced everything. Flushed the radiator. dot dot dot..lol!! $1600.00 12 month 12000 miles nationwide warrantee. Completed in a day and a half.Only problem so far, keeps blowing #4 fuse so I'm not really back on the road.

Only 87000 miles. It was owned by an elderly couple so it sat alot. Had 83000 when I bought it last december. I guess from sitiing and not getting used things tend too dry out. I had a 1994 years ago and it had 130,000 miles when I sold it. the only problem I ever had was the "shudder" and that was fixed just by changing the fluid to Mercon V.
