AOD-E overdrive gears into 4r70W

Would it be possible to fit AOD-E overdrive gearing into the 4R70w? Being the overdrive comes in at .667:1 versus the .70:1, I was wondering if it could be done to gain back a small margin of overdrive when going to steeper rear end gears.

I believe the gear sets are interchangeable from what I can find.

I'm not sure you would gain much though. If you want a real alternative, check out GearVendors overdrive units for a double overdrive setup. ;)

The gain is roughly .03, which really isn't a lot. When you go from 3.07 gears to 4.10 gears, it amplifies the gap just a bit more. Just looking for the best combination of factory parts and hot-rodded nature!

I looked into Gear Vendors, and it was at that point I felt my wallet poop down my right butt cheek! :)

i believe the gear sets are interchangeable, but i also believe you need to swap the whole gear set.
in doing so, you would lose the wide ratio gear set, mess up the shift points, and gain .03 overdrive.
i would not suggest that.

Was wondering if the overdrive is a separate gearset. Not going to go this route as of now, called a friend who does the 4Rs and the AOD-Es and he says "Not worth the trouble".
