Australian cars with 5.4 DOHC!

Sorry if this is a bit off topic but I never knew they had 5.4 DOHC Australian Ford Falcons running around. I figured you guys would be interested.

They're aren't many good videos to choose from but this video has a good shot of the engine even though it's modified. It's like they're putting cobra R 5.4 motors in pickups and sedans... The car they put them in is called a Ford Falcon XR8 5.4L BOSS 290. That's 290 kilowatts of power which I think is around 400 HP?

The Falcon would be the perfect competition for the Charger but since GM has brought 2 Australian cars here and they both failed I doubt Ford will take the chance

It may depend on the fate of the upcoming Chevy SS. (Or what the Impala was supposed to be. ) We'll see if Ford will keep catering to the blue-hairs who aren't exactly staying alive a whole lot to sustain the former Panther cars' market.
