Copied from my Craigslist posting:

For sale is a perfect pair of B&W DM303 bookshelf monitors. I have owned these fine speakers for about a year and a half and they are nothing short of delightful to listen to. They employ 1-inch dome tweeters and 6-inch fiberglass woofers to create not just great frequency response (52 Hz to 30 kHz), but a very involving soundstage. They can handle any kind of music from rock to classical to hip hop with ease, and with surprising punch and delicacy. I can provide photos if you need them.

Speakers are the very first step to truly enjoying your music collection. Upgrade to these world-class B&Ws to hear what you've been missing. These were matched and the factory and have sequential serial numbers to prove it.

Pictures can be emailed but are also in the CL ad. ALSO: If anyone going to the Milan Dragway event is interested, by all means I will bring them along. :)

Thanks, Obi-wan.. :D

now I'm trying to justify it. But no. I have /something/ in almost every room of the house. (and garage) and these are better than half of them, I would guess. but I must resist.

Somebody here buy those speakers!

Heehee thanks. What else do you have? These have been replaced with a pair of stellar Kef Q300s powered by a 205w/ch Parasound HCA-1500A.

Congrats on the sale! the CL ad paid off? I hope they didn't low-ball you too much.

Nah it went fine. I asked a little high knowing I'd get a lower offer since I high end brand sort of allows you to do that...(just look at anyone selling a 14-19 year old Lincoln luxury car ;) ) but all in all I got what I paid for them. This is the beauty of used hifi. :D

Very nice. I'll have to put together a post of my various sound equipment sometime. most of mine is a generation (or two) older than the speakers you just sold, but still sound fantastic.

How old? The DM303s aren't at all current, maybe 3 or 4 years old? I sure didn't buy them new. It would be neat to compare what you have though. The speakers I moved on to (since I knocked one over and damaged the corner at work so I inda had to buy them) are Kef Q300s which are nothing short of fantastic. I now have to eventually get a receiver that can bi-amp them. :)

hahahaha. 3 or 4 years old....

Full disclosure - these photos are of the identical items, but not *my* items. this was easier.

behold: My receiver. A Bang & Olufsen Beomaster 1900

My living room speakers: Atlantis Oracle Three (my speakers are in better condition than the ones pictured.) It is also worth noting that the speakers have a very nice smoked glass top on them that isn't visible in these photos. For purposes of scale, that's a 10" driver, and a 12" passive radiator you're looking at there.

Well, I saw the Ikea reference, and was preparing myself to ramble on about the superiority of Danish technology over Swedish, but then I watched the video. it seems to speak for itself. :D

brb. gotta buy some FLÅARB.

If I'm not mistaken, in Swedish, the "Å" is pronounced as "ooh" rather than the "long a" as pronounced in the video. I'm sure Conan is a member here, so he'll see this sooner or later. A Mark is such a natural upgrade from a Taurus SHO.

Ha...I remember watching that now. Even the Mark (mine at least) has an upgraded cellular phone. (Not that any of them work anymore.)

Heck, if Jeremy Clarkson approves of the Mark, that should be good enough for anyone.

ha! I'd never seen that. He seems so much less bitter in those days. I wonder what he'd say if asked to review that Chrysler today.
