Been awhile - New Car/Old Car

It's been a while since I've actively posted on here but I still browse and add when I can. Haven't been doing much work on the Mark VIII but I still have it and still looks good. Could really use a wash since it's been in the garage all winter. That means I've got a new(er) daily driver; I've picked up a clean 2010 Lexus which also means I'm looking to create space in the garage. :frown:

Anyone interested in my rare :D black on black Mark VIII? I'd like to make it available here first since I'm sure someone here would give it a good home.

I'll post up in the for sale section with more details and pics.

Don't listen to them. That Lexus should be a quiet, comfortable, reliable, car. Can't ask for much more, for a daily driver.. :D

Your Mark does look pretty fantastic though.

I agree on the looks. Mark VIII looks great, but it's up in years and with two small kids (car seats) the 4 door wins. And while it's not the looker the Mark is, the Lexus is butter smooth.
I've had a Mustang and the Mark with their tighter suspension so long, I appreciate the ride on the new car. I will miss the Mark once it's gone.... :frown:

I have two kids in car seats as well, so I know where are you coming from. I sold my Mark VIII one year ago on Memorial Day weekend. But I kept the 4 doors in the Ford Family ;)

Manny, you have a 97 though right, yeah no duh. sorry still waking up. My car -- well I want her fixed, but not sure if it can even be done. Keep us in mind. Not to mention Hubby has severely broken the Z, so.... maybe us? Although w/the kid still living here we already have 4 cars in the garage/driveway, hahaha. Plus I miss you and haven't met your wife or kids! Holy cow it's been a long time. Depends on how it steers, my non-lsc definitely handles in a way I like over the 98 lsc's. But maybe, we haven't taken a good look at my car to see what she really needs, all I know is she's starting to rust out and has all these little glitches going on with her.

Oh, and in spite of all that, you wouldn't believe how many people actually yell out their windows to compliment the car! And I'm not on the road very often, either.

He has his damn Mustang. The Z, well, that was when he had a fiance and we went out as a family and it made sense and it does get good gas mileage and was very reliable and all season, and Hubby works far so that helps. I don't know what we're doing with the cars anymore, lol.

Definitely Sharon. My wife isn't much for cars or car talk so she declines anything involving car show, talking about cars.....
My daughter on the other hand, has the bug; she refers to the Mustang as her car. The boy is too young but does enjoy getting pushed in his little tots car.

Sorry to hear about your Z, but if you want to add to your collection, I would definitely give you the call. In the fall, I had a guy in a corvette slow down to get next to me and give me the "nice car" nod. People love these cars! I'll keep an eye out for a summer meet up and see if I (we) can make it.

Take the kids to Carlisle, my son loved it last year. This year the whole family is going.

Manny, he's adorable! I'll have to talk to Hubby and see. I know he wanted to host something here, but even if we can't/don't, I know Mark wants to see you too, so we'll just have to work something out for us all to get together :).
