That's crazy. Need moar acceleration lol. I actually used to have a 94 Dodge Shadow with the 3.0 V6 in it. Not the fastest thing but it's funny because up until I bought the Mark VIII, that was probably the fastest car I've ever owned. It had the 5-speed manual in it and I learned how to rip through the gears pretty good and even managed to burn the clutch out. :p I bet that little car ran 15s. It felt a lot faster in that little car though. Oh how the times have changed. Now I feel a lot faster in a bigger car! :D

Never been a big fan of cars converted to RWD. While I prefer RWD I also enjoy ripping around in a powerful FWD car, the torque steer is a welcome characteristic in my eyes... It's always "fun" pounding gears with one hand and wrestling the wheel with another! LOL :D

I'd rather take the white turbo Shelby next to it. :wink:

back around 96 i had one of these for a short period, 85 dodge shelby charger 2.2 turbo 5 speed. say what you will these cars were retarded fast for what they were. the GLHS Omni's were low 13's out of the showroom. my charger was so fun to hammer on but i got rid of it before i blew the little piss pot up! it was identicle to this one.

It's not a Dodge Shadow once you put that drive train into it. I like the 1600 HP Camaro video better.

A friend of mine had a Spirit R/T for a while. I helped him rebuild it. Fun car, deceptively fast. Those little turbo dodges are nothing to sneeze at - they can be made to go remarkably fast relatively cheap.

That reminds me, there was a Dodge Shadow at the track late this year. He didn't have much done to it except for maybe some more boost. He was running low 13s with it. I'm pretty sure it was an early 90s model. Fast little hatch back. :D

they can be more than impressive for sure. there is a guy who races at lebanon valley dragway in n.y with an 85 dodge caravan, its faded medium blue with wood panel down the sides, its very ugly and everyone who sees it for the first time laughs and makes fun of it until they see it run the 1/4 mile. the guy drives it to the track, no trailer, and the van runs 12.10's all day long. its so funny to see an 80's turbo caravan running 12's in the 1/4 mile. the best part is when he stomps on some classic american muscle cars, the van really moves!
