BBK makes one for 96 cobra and up, would it fit

• Twin 62mm unit flows approximately 30% better than the factory twin 57mm part with the twin 65mm at nearly 45% more air flow
• Direct bolt-on, no modifications necessary
• Adds approximately 10-12 horsepower over stock throttle body
• Machined from high-quality 356 aluminum

I don't think so because our stock throttle bodies are twin 55mm, not twin 57mm like the Cobras. I maybe wrong though.

Assuming you have a Gen1, your real problem is the insanely small and constricted intake plenum that the 16 tubes draw air through. At least that's what I'm dilligently working on.

On a mostly stock car there is no gain to be had with a bigger throttle body, it's just not a restriction. Same with the MAF. I wouldn't bother unless you have a supercharger or some really crazy head and intake work.

That said, it should fit. I have the stock throttle body on a Cobra intake, i just had to mount it upside down. So i figure the cobra throttle body should fit the mark intake.

JFC people. I guess some people have not been here long enough to remember me putting the FRPP single blade on teh pearl car?

Unless you are insane and want problems it will not fit at all on a gen 1. Gen 2 yes.

I disagree. I think my car is proof that you can make power with the gen 1 intake. Joe is working on an improved design that we came up with, but the intake will definitely lose some bottom end. I don't think the gains from switching to a Cobra will net me that much power over what I currently have, if any at all.

Brad, that TB will do NOTHING for your car.

Not That I am planning on putting in, but want to make sure I am reading Joe's post right. This TB would fit on a Gen2 intake with no problem?

Brad:

Get rid of that idea and save some money for other Mods, The major increases in performance can be gained in other areas as posted previous. Gears, J mod tranny(complete), New Computer Chip Program, Drive shaft, Long Tubes & exhaust, head porting, short block rebulid with forged internals, and force induction. I know you have already accomplished some of these. The new throttle body only is relivant to needing more 02 which your current setup can handle with no problems. We all have confidence in your ingenuity. :) :)

It should. The single blade willnot fit the gen 2 though. On the gen 2 intake, each of the single round butterflies feeds half of the intake. You could not open the intake up to accept the single blade, and you would be restricted by the ports of the intake.

Eli..

I totally agree there is lots of power available (by restriction reduction) without hacking the Gen1 intake, but you might agree that the Gen1 intake "pipe plenum" is pretty sad at high flow rates/RPM where it's needed most.
