What's a good paint to paint the calipers with? Or is it better to just buy colored calipers?

If you are painting them while on the car then buy one of those caliper painting kits at the parts store. they have the cleaner, brush, paint, etc. They work pretty good.

If you are taking them off the car then have them power coated. You will have to remove the piston and other hardware.

I painted the rear calipers/brackets and the front brackets with color matching paint on the Blue Flame and then clear coated them. Granted, it's not heat resistant but if it's not a daily driver it may not be necessary to have heat resistant paint or powder coat.

I powder coat everything that will fit in my oven, otherwise POR15 comes in multiple colors.

I shot mine with VHT High-Temp paint and dried it with a hairdryer. Came out pretty good for what it is.

My wife got a new oven for mothers day, coincidentally at the same time her old oven ended up in my garage.

Like I said, coincidence.

I think that's a "yes.."

Rust-O-Leum hi-temp paint. I've used it on Moose for years and the El Camino. After cleaning the calipers I brush it on with a foam brush, works very well and looks baked on.

To powder coat at home you need to get a powder coat system. Sears and harbor freight sell one. We did this at home. It was fun doing it once but a total pain in the ass. First you will need clean the parts (do you have a parts washer?). Then you need to sand blast the parts. (Do you have a sand blaster?) Paying someone to sandblast parts around here is just as expensive as having parts powder coated. Then you have to spray the powder (messy messy messy) Than you have to transfer the parts with out letting the powder come off. We did some brake shields and they came out OK. Then I had some more done by a powder coat shop it was 15$ per. Powder coating is easily worth the price to pay a pro. But it is always fun to do the work yourself.

Don't PC in an oven you will cook food in.
