bumper removal

I did this three years ago, and I'm going from memory. Still, this should be close.

It requires a set of ramps, a Phillips screwdriver, metric socket set, and some patience. An assistant would probably help, but I managed without.

The front end has a whole bunch of screws underneath the front edge, where the bumper cover meets a plastic fairing, and a few more in the wheelwells (a stubby screwdriver helps, or removing the wheels, I suppose)

Next there's the single screw in the rear corner of both headlight assemblies, and a bolt or two on the top of each. access the tops by removing the plastic "beauty covers" on either side of the hood latch - held on by some kind of "hook and loop" stuff. (remove bulbs, etc.)
Once the headlights are out, I think they will reveal a couple more bolts, and two places where the cover "clips" into the rest of the car.

The bumper cover and grille come off as a single assembly, and can be separated after they are off the car.

I may have missed a fastener or two, but I think that's pretty close. Take your time and be patient. look closely for any parts that "stick" and investigate for more of those small Phillips screws.

The rear cover isn't that different. there are a series of studs attached to the rear bumper cover that are secured by nuts accessed from underneath the back of the car and within the trunk. I seem to recall a couple up near the shock towers that were the only real hard ones. Don't forget the wiring for the license plate lamp. The more I think about it, I may have removed the taillight assemblies as well for this. (more nuts inside the trunk. just peel back the carpet.)

Hardly a step by step guide, but with a bit of time and logic, it is manageable.

ha! I know a thing or two about that.

here's a helpful hint, the OEM jack will still fit underneath the car with the suspension deflated, allowing you to lift it enough to make room for a proper jack.

my attempting this approach has nothing to do with the fact that my jack might have been stuck underneath the car in a place inappropriate for jacking.

No.. nothing like that at all...

One more thing I forgot. there are four nuts that need to come off the back of the grille at the top. This is a terrible photo, but may be better than nothing.

Of course there's a chance you have discovered this already. :)

You aren't allowed to say that until you prove that these instructions were correct. :D
