Thanks, Eric. I haven't registered yet, but did "at the door," last year.

It was a good time, and I'll be there. I do have obligations Saturday afternoon though. I don't know if that means I'll be there Saturday morning, or not. Depends on who else will be there.. :D

Figure if I keep posting this every year eventually it will have several Mark VIII's there, trying to lure the Illinois people up.

If you wanna come Saturday morning and hang out you more then welcome to. I'll be cutting out early on Sunday.

I'll try to show up Saturday morning, but not with the mark 8. I can't take off work on Friday, and Sunday I have the warped tour all day.

Patience, young grasshopper.

The place was hoppin' today. Still only three Marks here, although we did find a white CE elsewhere on the grounds.

I walked by your cars twice yesterday, but didn't see you guys. I talked to a guy I guy in a white Lincoln LS who was parked next to that orange caddy a couple blocks north of you.

I missed you Eric, caught Mike there, Luke was gone burning off his tires.

Sorry we missed you, Chris. If it was in the morning, Luke and I were off trying our hands at Autocross. I only managed one run, (also, my first autocross ever,) at 37 seconds. I hear Luke was down to 30 by the end of the day, but I doubt he was ever higher than 32..

I need some practice. :D

It's a bad sign when a pickup pulls up alongside you in the staging lanes, and says "ooh.. that's a long wheelbase.. Good luck with that." Admitedly, that wasn't just any pickup..

All 3 cars were there when I walked by. The chairs next to them were empty.

You should try the autocross at Dakota county tech. It's kind of a mash up of a road course and an autocross. You can get up to about 60 mph in some spots, but still have some tight turns and sloloms.

Nice job on the autocross Mike! It's more fun than you would think a bunch of cones in a parking lot would be huh? :) My first time autocrossing was last year at the EcoBoost Challenge. I had an absolute blast in the Focus and Fiesta STs!

Thanks, Bryan.
That first time was extremely intimidating. Just ask Eric, who was waiting with me in the staging lanes.. Now I'm totally ready to try it again. :) I wish I'd had the time to make more passes.

Yeah I felt the same way with the EcoBoost Challenge. You were only able to take 2 laps then you had to get back on line and were able to take 2 more for the day. Problem is after 2 laps in the Focus ST I wanted to try to better those times but I really wanted to try out the Fiesta too so I took my second 2 laps in that. I'd love either of those cars on a track for a couple hours! :D
