So on my white 98 Mark VIII CE some paint is coming off of the body trim. I was thinking about using some carbon fiber decals to cover the trim. Has any one use carbon fiber decals, any recommended brands?

A couple years back Mad1stgen had a trick "carbon fiber roof" on a car very much like your own. Although I cannot remember for sure where he sourced his, I know that 3M makes such things. (A google search for "3m carbon fiber" turns up multiple results..) Although since their schtick is printing gigantic stickers, I'd have to assume it is not "real" carbon fiber.. Still, it looks good. :)

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4S : Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 6_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/536.26 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/6.0 Mobile/10A523 Safari/8536.25)

A member dieseldan can dip the parts in a carbon fiber substance that comes out real nice. He had it at Carlisle last year and I'm sure he offers the service

Other than the one above I’ve only seen vinyl decals used on the interior pieces.

The stuff used on interior parts is not really a decal. The process is commonly called hydro-dipping or water transfer printing. My guess is wraps are used on large exterior sections.

Hate to bump an old thread, but some of the chrome on the sides of the car is worn... any idea how I can recreate the carbon fibre effect for that?

The trim on the doors. Perhaps the interior dash if I'm feeling ambitious... but primarily outer trim on the door that looks like a pinstripe.
