since the patriotic theme worked so well, do we go all-in on Canada?

I liked the idea of playing up the "Cobra first" idea that has come up before, but wouldn't know how. stick-on rally stripes for all of the Marks?

We need to pick something quick and run with it. Not like we stand a snowball's chance in Hades winning the club tent competition, it is still fun. :D

It's all the fun factor anyways. ;)

The Mrs. and I looked online and considering the plethora of tropical decorating ideas and such, I second the "tiki" bar theme. :thumbsup:

well, it seems we have a consensus. I do have a vague memory that i have seen something like that at carlisle before. maybe the Focus crew? not a showstopper, but we'll want to be sure we go all-in.

Actually, I thought Mrs. Driller e-mailed me a good idea, but I can't remember what it is. I like tiki theme, too.

LOL... that'll be cool, thanks. Everyone else post up if they're bringing any theme items for the tent so we don't double up where it may not be needed. :)

As far as the Hawaiian shirts, that may not be a bad idea. Mrs. Driller wanted to order this year's Carlisle tee shirts in various pastel colors? :rolleyes:

After further thought, maybe we should give Isaac a break this year (so we don't scare him away) and have Leo wear the grass skirt. :p

Didn't you say you DIDN'T want to scare people away? Tell you what, you find one in my size and I'LL WEAR IT! You heard it here folks, it's in writing! BUT... Driller must wear a coconut bra! :eek:

OH!!! WAIT!!! We can hold a hula contest open to anyone at the fairgrounds!!! They can make announcements throughout the day on Saturday and we can play some hula music and judge for winners in categories like Best Wiggle, Best Coconuts, Worst Wiggle, Biggest Waistline, etc. We need cool prizes, perhaps we can get Carlisle to kick in some bling.

Also... anyone have a kiddie pool? We could fill it with water (or Gin for Joe) and say we're at the beach.
