ce code 511

Does anyone have any insight to what code 511 means?The book says "Read Only Memory[ROM] test failure".Does that mean my ECM is bad?The car doesnt run like it should, no power above 4500 rpm.It has had recent tune up,wires, plugs,fuel filter, 02's,sometimes just shuts off.It's a 93.Stock except for Geno chip,gutted cats,dual exh.,4.10's.Any ideas?Thanks.

I have tried that,it still runs like crap.It runs better w/chip.

Ok,Steve,I figured out what you mean,I'm kinda slow some times.I think the 1970's and 80's may have somthin' to do with it...
any way I bought a fuel pressure gage today and found fuel pressure drops to 15 psi.@ w.o.t.That explains a lot.Gonna get a Walbro from Geno next wk.thanks y'all.

That code has nothing to do with the fuel pressure problems you are having. The chip causes that to come up every time you run codes with the chip in whether there is a problem or not.

I know,I pulled out chip and code went away.I had several other codes and fixed them and car still didnt run right...bought fuel pressure gage and found under load fuel pressure drops to 10/15 psi.thats been my main problem all along.
