check air ride

i keep getting this message on the heads up display saying "check air ride" and it stops working all together til i shut the car off and restart it then its fine...someone please help

Does it air up?

When does the 'check air ride' warning come on?

Immediately?

90 seconds or so after starting?

While driving it?

while driving when i slow down for it to air up after the high speed drop

That sounds like a weak compressor and/or leaky airsprings.

When you park the car, let it vent to parked height, then, turn the switch off in the trunk. If it's slammed, or very low the next day, you have leaky airsprings. If it holds the height, it's probably the compressor.

You might have to do the test a couple times to be sure.
