Checked out a Continental Today

So had to take the Flex in for a recall and service today at the Ford/Lincoln dealer. Lincoln is giving $75 Amazon cards for test driving one. I was up front with the sales guy so I just sat in the showroom one and he singed off on my paper. The one I was has an MSRP of $55,000 and that is around $4,500 above what my 2014 MKS had for an MSRP. The Continental is a vast improvement over the MKS for that price difference. Very roomy inside, even the back row, the interior materials are great, as is the layout, and the exterior looks. Wait two years and get yours for $30k, it will be the best barging out there.

You guys/gals are going to think I'm weird but...I could not own a car with a 3-spoke steering wheel as my daily....I rest my hand on the bottom center of ste steering wheel when cruising long distances(keeps arm fatigue down).
My HHR SS has a 3 spoke wheel and I have to hold it at the 7 o'clock position and it is tiresome.

other than that, the new Conti looks nice inside and out. I can be judgemental though since in reality I will never be in the market for a $50k + car and if I was, it wouldn't be a Continental.

I got an email after submitting the test drive info, got $750 private cash for a new Lincoln. So if you are thinking of buying a new Lincoln, get the $75 Amazon card, submit the info then wait for the $750 cash.

I went and test drove a Mark LT and also got to experience the Continental. I admit to not caring for it much at all. I sat in the back seat and the front and felt the seats to be very hard and not luxurious... maybe more like an M Series BMW. The interior is pretty, but my Town Car and Marks are substantially more comfortable. And whoever thought the standard wheels it comes with look good or nice needs to be shot. Lol. I had a hard time distinguishing between the MKS and MKZ out front and had to take a moment to know the difference in the Continental. I'd take the MKZ of the three of those if it was an option. Actually, I'll take my Town Car and supercharged Mark VIII. :p

The Mark LT was extremely nice BTW. :D

The MKZ is too small for me. The MKS does look a bit like a larger MKZ with the waterfall grill. But the Continental I thought was a lot different. Keep in mind that the Continental may have had the wave motion seats and they may have been inflated all the way.

Going to stop by Lincoln of Wayne to check out that CE and Mark VII SE the owner is selling. I'll check out the new Conti while I'm there. I'm glad Lincoln is bringing back an iconic nameplate, it's a start.

A friend of mine just purchased a vehicle from a Lincoln dealership. She was replacing a Aviator that was totalled by someone running a stop sign. Dealer told her Aviator was coming back.
