This is my black 94.
I replaced the rear shocks and mounts, the clunk was still there when I went over tracks or bumps. I checked all the rear mounts, they are all nice and tight.
As it turns out, it was just the trunk lid torsion bars bouncing on the inside package tray area. I split a couple pieces of old rubber hose and put them on the bars where they were touching. No more clunking.
