FS: Cobra short block on the engine stand

A fresh, unused,forged '98 VT Engines Cobra Sportsman Shortblock (teksid block); Manley H-Beamrods, standard compression forged pistons, Billet Cobra oil pump gears, withARP crank, rod and head fasteners that was done for me by VT Engines beforethey went out of business.

Used Crower p/n62822-4 4V cams. A pair of new "take off" 98 Cobra Bheads with cams

Asking $4000.00 for above, $5000 if I find the Vortech, and willing to make a deal for both. I will send pics upon request.

A Brand NewVortech '98 Cobra P/N 4FK218-050SQSatin Aftercooled Supercharger kit, complete except for the FMU and T-Rex fuelpump. Includes some extras; stainless steel oil feed line, SCT BA2400 MAF, andSpal intercooler fans.

I am interested in the shortblock alone if you decide to separate. I have no use for the other parts.

Does the shortblock have an 8 bolt crank ?

I wouldn't know how to separate, price or get rid of rest of it. I don't know about the bolt pattern. Can look in garage tonight and take more pictures. Thanks though

The 8 bolt crank he was referring to is how many bolts on the rear of the crankshaft. Just take a picture of the rear of the engine, that will show if it's an eight bolt or not.

I would bet it is since only the forged cranks had the center counter weights.

That package deal is a great price but not many people are going to need all those pieces.

It is an 8 bolt forged crank.

Take the heads and cams with it and sell off what you don't want, you'll still make out even if the heads and cams sell for scrap.

The Vortech kit will be an easy sale by itself once found.

We may even be able to do some creative shipping.

I really need another set of B heads like I need another project here. You know we don't like them old style heads around here

I hear ya. The B heads are the red-headed step child of the modular family.

I don't know the number but I do know Doug had a lot more than $3K in that shortblock because I looked at buying it once.

Though I'm pretty sure someone could make a deal on this.
