e-brake "sticks" ?

So, I've been bugging hubby about this a lot, but it doesn't seem to happen to him, so nothing's been done about it.

I always use the ebrake. However, when I back out of the garage, or a parking space, it's like it's not completely releasing and I hear something which kinda sounds like a slight popping or clicking kind of sound which is like the e-brake button trying to release itself but not? It doesn't happen all the time, anyone have ideas?

I'd say it happens only in reverse, but I almost always drive in reverse after parking.

there is an e-brake release lever on the left side floor next to the drivers seat if it ever gets stuck. Bad sax had a sticky e-brake, maybe he knows what is going on.

The line gets old and sticks its a cable. Proper lubrication is the key if its not to far gone spray it up. If it still sticks replacement is in order.IMHO

Yeah, i'd remove the kickpanel and inspect the e brake mechanism, clean and lube where necessary. Then follow the line and see if it's kinking anywhere.

Grab a can and go to town.

I've had the e-brake mechanism need TLC before and also needed to lube the e-brake cable. I remember Doug giving me a rough time over the cable 'hanging down' on more than one occasion. :(

OK, didn't realize I could manually pull it, I'll try that next time. Otherwise will ask Hubby to look here and check into it. No, no Carlisle for us this year. :(

Don't forget to have Hubby lube it up first ;)

Just to clarify, I'm talking about the release pull next to the driver seat, not the pedal. It has an extra give if you give it an extra pull.
