Favorite Blend Door Actuator Mfg

I have been a stalker for a while and finally registered.

Time has come for the infamous blend door actuator. I didnt pull codes but I can get to the bottom lever and get a little heat.

Rock Auto has three mfg to choose from. I am going to assume that I want the motorcraft one.

Dorman - motorcraft - Standard are the options all about the same money.....

98 LSC BoB in case it matters.

Thank you to all of the forefathers that created this site and have populated it with so much information. There is no doubt that I can R and R the actuator. Without this place I could never do it.

FWIW, I had a LM dealer replace the blend door actuator with what I assume would be a Motorcraft part after I purchased The Mark back in 2002. Since then, it broke again a couple years back. I replaced it this time with another Motorcraft myself, only this time, I reinforced the arm by using one of the suggested methods on the forum. So far, so good

Mine is starting to make a grinding noise as it moves back and forth. I no longer drive the car all winter. When the ground has been salted after the first snow. She gets put away till the spring rains. I guess i will pull it apart then.
