first to break?

ok so hears is the story. i have msd coils, straight exhaust with no cats or mufflers, 3.73 gears and a posi, j-mod, cold air intake, 72hp of nitrous, and slicks. i dont have any of the rear braces for my car yet and im wondering if i hit it with a 100 shot out of the hole with the slicks on it what will be the first thing to break?? so far i have not had the bottle in the car and the slicks on the car at the same time because i was scared to break something. the only time i have sprayed at the track with before the gears and slicks and i waited to get out of the hole before i mashed the button but it still ran a 8.9@81 mph in the 1/8th on the 72 hp pill. i want to mount up the slicks and a full bottle and throw in the 100 hp pill and let her eat out of the hole at the track to see what it will run all out.

maybe im just too cautious here and i may not be making enough power yet to break stuff. i just dont know i have asked here a few other times what breaks first but i always get no answer.

I thought wheel hop doesn't set in until 400RWHP. even with the 100 shot he should still be fine.

I'd be more worried about transmission and engine than the back end.

Honestly, using "the button" isn't the best way.

you'd get better, and more consistant launches with for instance a 2500-3000/5500 window switch.
for the small investment you'll do your self and your drivetrain alot of good.

myself, I wouldn't "spray out of the hole" with a slick car.

I ran low 9's at 80MPH with no bottle on my street tires.

From what I have seen, spraying 'out of the hole' can result in broken half-shafts. Make sure the front and rear differential bushings/mounts are up to par. A back cover brace, torsion brace and pinion brace will help protect the rear end from damage.

The slicks should actually help reduce any tendancy for wheel hop when properly inflated as the sidewalls allow the tire to 'wind up' cushioning the launch.

yes when the slicks do spin its nice and smooth. now on my 245/50R16 street tires at the track i do get bad wheel hop. oh i also forgot to say that i have a 3200 stall converter and with the slicks i leave the line at about 25-2800 rpm depending on what the track is like that night. i have a set of 28x11.5 slicks just because i could get them cheap but im trying to fond a smaller set like in the 26x10" range or so 25" would be even better.
