Unfortunately, they are here every may and september. The cranes are all over the place.

lol Can you just imagine what that crane would be up to if Badsax was here? I can see it wearing a hat, rain coat, and sitting at a table with a vodka martini ordering fish for dinner :)

HAHA I just pictured that in my head and I'm LOLing hardcore over here!

Thanks Mike!

Don't mess with the crane, they are protected.
Ok, so I don't know what they eat, but I'm sure they could bob for whatever while I bob for olives :D

Feeding them isn't a violation of protecting them right? I mean... it's like providing animal hospitality :D

I'm protecting them from starving :D

I think in this situation I'm the hero... :D

Where is my WWF award... :p

I had VIP credentials for a shuttle launch back in the early 80's - one of my co-workers at IBM actually worked at the Cape and knew people... :)

Unfortunately, the launch was scrubbed, and I went home with the worst sunburn I have ever gotten. :(

That had to be cool to see the launch up close though. I worked at the IBM Boca Raton facility, and actually watched quite a few launches from the parking lot 160 miles away!

So was the helicopter there in case you crossed to the other side of the fence? :)
lol Yes! The chopper made a couple laps around the launch site prior to lift off. The photo of the officer was taken before someone got a lecture for having a tripod leg encroaching on NASA property.

Here is a google map link to where the photo's and video were taken. It is a wildlife refuge, and miles of public beach, including a beach section at the furthest northern part for nudist. We saw a gator, 2 wild boars, raccoon, and a plethora of birds the short time we were there. :)
