Front air strut question.

Does anyone know if the air bag is able to be separated from the strut? Are the bags replaceable without having to get a complete air strut assembly?

I know jay and a few others played around with them in the past. I don't know of anyone selling just the bag part.

There are some local's here that are building electric kit cars with Mark VIII and t-bird parts. This is what he told me he is using.

The air bags we use are:
Rear: Air Lift Co. Generation 1 series, 2B6, $85 compressed
height 3", extended height 9.5", max. diameter 6.8", 100psi
max, 2025 lbs @ 100psi, p/n 50658.
Front: Air Lift Co. Chapman universal strut kit #75592, $450,
900 lbs @ 100psi, 5.125" max dia, 15.5" min length + sleeve
(adjustable).
