WTB: Glove Box Lock 83 Mark VI

Well, I went from my door being stuck (fixed that) to now my glove box being stuck. I did everything I could to get it open. But, no go. So, I had no choice. I had to just pull it till the lock tabs broke off. It's open now!
Anywho, I am suppose to take the family out next week in the Lincoln. Really would rather do that with a closed glove box (that works).
Got to say, at least most of the things that keep happening are small stuff. No big engine issues or so on.

Really hoping that someone here has one or knows where to get one in a hurry.
Please H E L P!!!
I think it is the same one as most of the 70's as well.

heh. Sorry I missed this. I've replaced the glove box on my town car. I might have had an extra latch in the same bin that instrument cluster came out of... :)

Don't forget, you may want to try to move the lock cylinder from the broken latch into the new one, so that your keys continue to operate it. If memory serves, I did do this on mine. I remember the latching system being a somewhat elaborate scissor type mechanism.

Thanks! I wish I would have more time to wait but I really needed it.
Yeah, it is an odd spring scissor system. Though I would want my key to work with it I think I will have to see how the broken one comes apart so that I can do that.
If I do that it may be good to make a small tutorial in case some one else runs in to this problem as well.
