Any ideas what a stock 20 year old Mark VIII with UD pulleys will put down to rear tires?
Might be this week at CRT Performance in Norwalk, OH.I think ballpark range would be 230-240 RWHP, supposedly less on a Mustang dyno?
When and where?
Got to be over 200!!!!pulleys will negate due to age/wear of engine.
195 rwhp max is my guess on a Mustang Dyno
How old are your plugs and air filter?Any ideas what a stock 20 year old Mark VIII with UD pulleys will put down to rear tires?
Actually I just pulled the stock plugs out this fall. Kinda glad I did there was a bunch of brown crud in the #8 cylinder and on the COP boot. How old are your plugs and air filter?
220 is my guess as if you have spent money on pulleys I bet you change your plugs yearly and own a fancy air filter.
i always upload to youtube and embed the link here.Thanks. Let's just say we pushed A LOT of buttons on the laptop tonight. Overall I'm happy with the old girl but we will know for sure what it's got when I put it back on the track.
I have a video don't know if it can be posted to this forum?
The number I have settled on over the years with the Blue Flame is 17%. While I suspect that may be less than average, logic defines some will be higher than average and some will be lower than average. So what's the REAL drivetrain loss on a Mark VIII? Thru the 4R and IRS 18,20,25%?
I have to believe more is sucked up thru the IRS vs a solid axle.
I know me too. I may put it on a dyno jet, I think It would read higher.I'd like to see the car run on a different dyno, I'm having a hard time believing those numbers.
