Half Time Power

Nyghtshayd

New member
Hello everyone!

I got the CE light but not getting code back.
when Nyghtshayd reaches temp she starts to run like she's on half power. This happens especially after getting off the highway and proceeding after coming to a full stop. I'd step on the gas and Nyghtshayd would move, but like I said, at half power. I'd have to push heavier on the gas to get her to "wake up" and operate normally.

This is what I did so far:
CID sensor
Wires
Plugs
Air filter
Throttle body gasket

Any suggestions?

Thank you

Take it to Advance Auto and have them PRINT out the codes for you and get back here for help.

I took Nyghtshayd to my auto electric mechanic and he's not sending any codes.
The Advanced Auto shops around here don't have a code reader for this year car. hardly anyone does!!!
I believe there is another way to get codes by connecting the test leads and reading the light flashes on the dash.

But I'd still like a ball-park idea of what you all might think the problem is from these symptoms.

Thanks Roadboss

Could be a TPS issue, or a fuel flow problem. Heck....it could be a TON of things. If you got the light you HAVE codes!

There are 3 different sections that will store codes in the computer, you have to run 3 different tests to get these. I'm assuming that you're auto guy knows this but just in case....

You have a Key On Engine Off (KOEO) test, a Key On Engine Running (KOER) test, and you have Continuous Memory Codes. The check engine light can be on when there is a code(s) stored in any of these different "sections". If your auto guy only ran a KOER test, he may not see the continuous memory codes or the KOEO codes.
