So as stated before i seem to have gotten a halogen conversion kit on accident. I dont like the yellow too much so would i be able to get anything bluer or maybe an led in there?

Those are pretty interesting. If i can find a compatible one ill thrown them in.

Would the physical temperature of the bulb cause any damage to the housing though? I noticed a little burning near the high beam side halogen on the housing right now.

Because of the IR coating, they operate cooler than contemporary halogen bulbs of equal wattage.

I cant seem to find any extra of the smaller round connectors for the headlights but would it hurt to cut those out all together since im not using a ballast anymore?
Currently the plan is to remove the ballast and have the power flow directly to the bulbs, im hoping to not get any errors from these...

Not totally installed but i tested them out in the housings and they look good! Similar color to the stock HIDs with more but not blinding outpit

Do keep in mind that if those heat-sync "ribbons" are all crammed inside the back-cover of the housing, they won't do a whole heck of a lot to dissipate heat.

Depending upon how much heat they generate, you may expect a pretty short life out of the bulbs as a result.

I'd make an effort to keep those in open air, but still seal the opening to the housing around the base of the bulb somehow..

Still, I'm very curious to hear about the performance of LED in our Marks. I look forward to updates on this one, good or bad.. :)

I ended up moving the ribbons to a kind of "X" form in the housing so they could spread it out better, according to the site they should generate very little anyway.
They should be wired up tonight and have some pics soon

Looks to be plenty bright. Have you driven at night? How is the aim? How well defined are the "edges" of the beams?

Driven a little bit, the aim of the brightest spot seems more downward but not exactly a bad thing since it keeps them from blinding other drivers. The edges seemed pretty blurry just fading across a 4 lane stretch of road but still highlighting roadsigns nicely. Ill have a pic tonight
