Hi guys...You all have helped me before...now, I need help again...Took a road trip this wekend to NY..on the way back tons of traffic..seems the tranny was slippin...Probly the 1-2 accumulator....Today I went too work just fine..got outta work..car started..then 20 seconds later..shut itself off....will not restart even tho it turns over..no codes but my Display screen shows..check trac control, engine temp data error..and shifter something ...It also keeps blowing #11 fuse on the interior.fuse panel...this says Coil Driver ?? Also, i don't seem too hear the fuel pump running....Just got It back too the barn...Whatcha guys think are my NEW issues ?? Thanks to everyone in advance....Ellen :confused::confused:

Two weekends ago my own Mark stranded me on the Minnesota/Iowa border with strikingly similar issues. The wiring harness for the crank position sensor had become crushed between my 1.25" sway bar and a pointy part of the A/C compressor, shorting one of the two wires to ground. However in my case, I was not blowing a fuse. (or I did, and never noticed.. but that seems unlikely)

Regardless, I'd be inclined to think that some part of that wiring harness has been damaged, or perhaps one of the ignition coils has failed? In my own experience, a bad coil has never resulted in anything worse than a miss... Still, they're easy to check so I'd start there and hope you don't find evidence of squirrels having taken up residence in your engine compartment in the process. :D

Found it !! Tixer..you are right on the money..ended up being a crushed coil wire..when last serviced for another coil..the IDIOT mechanic crushed the #1 coil wires when he put the cover back on...he actually left the whole line of wires outside the bank of coils Duhhhh !! She up and running again..still a little slip 1 to 2nd on the tranny...getting that flush done this week also...Thanks soooooooooooooo much...Ellen:thumbsup:

Wow. I'm so glad it was an easy fix!

I'll claim it was a lucky guess, but still I am happy to have helped. Have a great evening Ellen!
