WuzFuz had 4.56's in for a while. I would strongly recommend that you do underdrive pulleys at the same time to keep the waterpump/alternator speeds down closer to normal while cruising. A MMC shaft will be a requirement for sure.

430 if I had a choice 456 if I did not go on long highway drives or I could drive slow 65-70 higway. I got 410 supercoupe stronger iron pumpkin complete for 300 bucks. another way to look at the big picture is to save the money for a supercharger. once you start to look at real hp gains from all the bolt ons cobra intake ud pullies headers etc. the logical conclusion is supercharger. another thing to think about is manual trans easy 30 hp you wont need a 600 dollar convertor or suffer all the rotating mass loss. stock 98 cobra 250 hp plus stock mark 210 do the math meaning think about it.

With a good 3000+ stall torque converter with an optimum stall torque ratio, the difference between a manual and automatic in the quarter isn't as much as you might think. Something about getting to the power band nearly instantly, and torque multiplication of ~2.3 at the light, and full power shifts make up for the efficiency loss. Also automatics are much easier on the driveline.

Is a 2800rpm stall converter worth it? I found one for a good price for the 4r70w and I was wondering if it would still be good for 2-3 tenths in the 1/4 mile?
